Johnson Controls Announces New Name for Snow Group

CENTENNIAL, CO (October 3, 2007) - - - Johnson Controls, the global leader in creating smart environments, today announced the re-naming of York Snow, Inc. to Johnson Controls. York Snow Inc. was purchased by Johnson Controls as part of the York International purchase in December 2005. With the completion of that acquisition, the Snow group now has the resources and backing of the Johnson Controls $32 billion products, services and solutions business.

“The consolidated expertise in engineering and project management gives our group the ability to move projects along at a much faster rate,” said Craig Jacobs, Finance Manager for Johnson Controls Snow. “We’re all looking forward to working together to bring new products and solutions to our ever expanding marketplace.”

Jim Horton, General Manager of Johnson Controls Snow group said, “Being a part of Johnson Controls allows us to offer energy management solutions beyond the traditional snowmaking offering portfolio. As our customers’ infrastructure grows, Johnson Controls can draw on more than 100 years of experience in building automation, fire and security systems to help them manage their energy usage, output and efficiency.” With the ski industry focus shifting towards less energy consumption and more energy management, Johnson Controls seems to be headed on the right path to help resorts find ways to improve their energy efficiencies.
